We are searching for passionate and caring volunteers to join our Discharge Team at The William and Patricia Venton Centre, Astor Drive, Mount Gould, Plymouth.

Volunteering can make a difference to you, a huge difference to our clients and Age UK Plymouth.

The Role

Hospital Discharge is a new addition to the charity’s services with a busy and friendly team. They offer clients who are leaving hospital a high-quality, flexible and free short-term service tailored to suit their needs and aspirations, promoting independence, social engagement, good health and wellbeing. You would be helping the team alleviate the stress and anxiety for our clients and their families by helping our clients re-adjust after a stay in hospital. The volunteer role would include assisting with administration duties such as filing, scanning, printing, making up assessment packs, answering calls and taking messages, but there is so much more you could do to make a difference.

Are you passionate about supporting your local community? Are you someone who can help organise? Can you add a bit of sparkle to someone’s day? If the answer is yes then we would love to hear from you. To be successful in this role you need you to have a caring nature, good organisational skills, accuracy, be a good listener, relish being part of a team and be reliable.
