We are searching for passionate and caring volunteers to join our Team at The William and Patricia Venton Centre, Astor Drive, Mount Gould, Plymouth.

Volunteering can make a difference to you, a huge difference to our clients and Age UK Plymouth.

The Role

We are looking for creative people to help us produce material to be shared on our website, social media channels and our quarterly magazine. The ideal volunteer would have experience or an interest in telling the stories of our charity, clients, colleagues and fellow volunteers via content and articles.

This flexible volunteering position would ideally suit someone with an understanding in crafting press releases, essays and long-read articles, someone studying english or journalism or with a passion for story-telling.

Are you passionate about supporting your local community? Are you someone who can help organise? Can you add a bit of sparkle to someone’s day? If the answer is yes then we would love to hear from you. To be successful in this role you need you to have a caring nature, good organisational skills, accuracy, be a good listener, relish being part of a team and be reliable.

Additional information

When completing the application form please provide information about any skills, experience, hobbies, training that you have.

We provide full training which includes; safeguarding, dementia awareness training and digital training.

Please note that a DBS Certificate and suitable references are a requirement of this role but we will guide you through these processes.

When?

Flexible. Work from home or from our head office in Mount Gould to a brief sent by the Communications Manager.
