The Bromley Well Handyperson Service supports older people with mild frailty and other vulnerable adult residents in Bromley. We accept referrals from health & social care staff to complete essential works.

What type of work can be carried out?

Minor repairs: fitting curtain rails, shelving, replacing tap washers, changing light bulbs and fuses
Home security: Installing key safe units and door security chains
Safety measures: Fitting grab rails and securing floor coverings
Energy efficiency: Installing draught excluders, bleeding and checking radiators
And other works that enhance independent living which can be assessed on a “case by case” basis.

Paid for service

We also offer a “paid for service” whereby residents can self-refer. We can complete all of the above tasks as well other minor works. This service is available to Bromley residents at a rate of £40 per hour for labour + costs of materials. Our Handyman can complete an in-person assessment, provide a quote and if the person would like to proceed we will book an appointment to complete the work.

What We Cant Offer

We are unable to support with painting/decorating, gardening, roofing/guttering, complex electric works or any gas works.
