Befriending Update

Our friendship groups at the Garden Rooms and Community House have been meeting weekly through the summer months.

As well as our usual meetings, we visited Igtham Moat together, strolling the grounds, the house and the gift shop. We finished the summer with a rather rainy visit to Herne Bay but a good time was had by all. We walked the prom, ate fish and chips and finished with a sing song sitting in the promenade shelters looking out to sea.  We drank cold drinks together during the warm weather to cool ourselves down but now the Autumn is upon us we are back to our usual tea and coffee.

Our friendship group at Sherard Road in Eltham also continues to meet once a month and is a busy hub of chat, catch-up and coffee.

Our walking group is very popular and continues to meet the first Tuesday of the month in Kelsey Park. We meander the park, check out the wildlife and watch the monthly changes in the park environment finishing with a hot chocolate together in the park's cafe.

We are also delighted to welcome a new friendship group to our family.  Cotmandene meet every Wednesday morning between 10 and 12noon.
