FareShare

FareShare normally organise end of day collections from supermarkets and individual outlets and use that 'waste' food to create food parcels and meals to share out in the community or at hostels and residential homes.  During this time they have joined forces with Stanstead Lodge to offer two options:

Option 1): Food Parcels

These parcels will be a mixture of non-perishable and perishable food items however, there are no guaranteed specific items.  They will prepare a “pot luck” box with a selection of whatever is available in either 1kg or 2kg bundles and will endeavour to ensure that all bundles contain a variety of items from the produce they receive.

Option 2): Shopping Service

This is a standard shopping service where they will carry out your usual household/food shop in a local supermarket and deliver it to your doorstep. Much like a normal supermarket shop, there will be a charge per item (the items have been priced as accurately as possible to match local supermarket prices) however there will be no service/delivery charge.

  • Note: if goods are cheaper they will not be able to refund you - however, we will also not charge more if we pay more. Any surplus of money will be donated to Stanstead Lodge Seniors Club.  If we are unable to find the item, you will be refunded.

  • We would prefer that payments are made for this in advance by telephone using a debit/credit card. If we are unable to get any of the items you have requested, we will refund the difference back to your card. Only in exceptional circumstances can we accept cash, we prefer to avoid it for auditing reasons.

You can download a form with options here to build your shopping list or request a food parcel.  When you call they will complete the list, take payment and deliver the list with your items. Please note that due to high demand they may find that not all items are available, but they will do our best! All drivers are DBS checked and vetted by Care Outlook.

If you would like to place an order please contact 0208 695 9008 where their dedicated team would be delighted to assist you.
