Support Worker (Support at Home Service)

Zero- Rated Contract

£13.15 per hour

The Support at Home Service is a new service designed to provide support for older people in their own homes in order to maintain their independence. We are now looking to recruit an additional staff member so that we can expand the service.

This is a zero-rated contract, so hours are not guaranteed, but the positive side of this is that you are able to work on days and at times that work for your and your life. If you are offered the position, the work is likely to start with just a few hours a week and then build up gradually to the number of hours you want to work.

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic person who is flexible, with a driving licence and access to your own transport, as well as excellent inter-personal and communication skills.

For the job description and person specification, please click here.

To apply, please send your CV with an additional supporting statement on no more than 2 sides of A4, explaining how you meet the person specification to: lisa.baker@ageukbexley.org.uk.  If you do not have a CV and would prefer to fill in an application form, please let me know and I can send one to you by email.

The closing date for receipt of applications is Friday 26 April 2024.

Trustee

At Age UK Bexley we are looking to strengthen our Board of Trustees by recruiting a Board member who has knowledge and experience in the area of Health and Safety. You may be currently working in, or have previously worked, in this field so that you will be able to provide advice and support to the staff team around Health and Safety issues.

This is a voluntary position.

Our Board meets 4 or 5 times a year, mostly online, although there are sometimes additional meetings if required.
