Responsible to

Bryony Rawson, Head of Communications

"Volunteers are an integral part of our Reception team. Our team have brought transferable skills from a wide range of customer facing roles including retail and hospitality to finance and admin.

It's thanks to the dedication of our volunteers that we are able to support our clients and those who come to our charity for help. Reception is the gateway to our organisation and our team members quickly become a font of knowledge!

As the voice on the end of the phone it's important to us that volunteers feel supported with full training and day-to-day guidance from our two Senior Receptionists. Reception is a fast paced and ever evolving department and so we do ask for a regular commitment from our volunteers with a minimum of eight hours a week where possible as part of a set rota."

What will you get out of it?

  • You will make a positive difference to our clients
  • You will be a valued member of the team and be invited to our Volunteer Celebration event in June
  • You will develop and learn new skills
  • You will make new friendships
