Goldies Live

Age UK Leeds are pleased to share information with you about the Goldies Charity.

www.goldieslive.com are showing a twice-weekly session aimed at isolated older folk in Yorkshire. These go live on YouTube every Tuesday and Thursday, taken by Rachel and Cheryl, two of their freelance session leaders.

They have been getting lots of social media support @goldieslive and also on their Facebook page and as winter approaches they want to ensure that as many older folk as possible hear about the live sessions and enjoy a good old fashioned sofa sing along in their own home.

They particularly want to reach out to families who would be able to tell their older relatives about their sessions and (perhaps) help them to access them on YouTube.

If you have a chance to look at the sessions you will see that the words are displayed on screen and the songs are mostly from the 60s onwards, all those memory-evoking songs of yesterday to sing along to!
