Charity of the Year Donation

We would like to say a HUGE thank you to staff at Irwin Mitchell Leeds who chose Age UK Leeds as their charity of the year in 2017. They have just brought us a wonderful cheque to the value of £11,000 – amazing! They held a fantastic year of fundraising including bake sales, raffles and an entertaining talent evening.  Lauren Burrows from Irwin Mitchell said ““It’s great to hear how we have helped such a fantastic cause. Listening to the stories of how our efforts have contributed to those who use the services of Age UK Leeds has spurred on our staff and the fundraising efforts as even the smallest contributions can do a great thing for the elderly people in our local community.”

Lisa Burnett, Age UK Leeds Fundraising Director said ‘It has been fantastic working with such a proactive and motivated team of people at Irwin Mitchell.  Their dedication and commitment never slowed down in the 12 months they supported us. £11,000 is such a lot of money to our small charity and it will help us support more older people living in Leeds that need our help – thank you from the bottom of our hearts’
