JOB TITLE: Customer Services Executive

Based: Faraday House, Eastbourne

Salary: £12.21 per hour

Hours: 8 hours per week (2 x 4 hour AM shifts) + Full time leave cover for up to 12 weeks per year

Age UK East Sussex is the county wide charity for older people in East Sussex. Our vision is to make East Sussex a great place to grow older. We provide a range of services to help people in later life from information, advice, financial, health and wellbeing support.

We are looking for a customer focused professional who can support our busy customers services team. You will be part of the entry team into our organisation and often be the first person a client speaks to. Primarily dealing with incoming switchboard calls you will triage the call and direct it as necessary. You will also respond to email, social media and postal enquiries too.

To ensure we always offer a high-quality service you will need to listen and detail information. Record this accurately on our contact management system and take decisions on how to direct each enquiry. You will also meet and greet people face to face at our reception and support colleagues in our offices too.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is empathetic and has an eye for detail. Standard hours will be 9am – 1pm Thursday and Friday but for up to 12 weeks of the year this post will need to cover leave for two other colleagues Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm too.
