Season's Greetings - Age UK York and accessing support over Christmas and New Year

We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. We though recognise it can be a difficult time for many locally here in York and Age UK York is continuing to offer a range of support with thanks to our team of staff and volunteers. 

Please find more details below of how to access support when needed whilst our office is closed before reopening on 2 January.

Age UK York Information & Advice over the Christmas Period:

For any Information & Advice queries over the Christmas period AUK National is open 365 days a year from 8am until 7pm on 0800 6781602. For emergency Social Care then please call North Yorkshire County Council on 0300 1312131. Our service is closed on the afternoon of December 24th, and all of December 25th , December 26th , December 31st and January 1st. If you would like us to get back to you then please leave a message and we will be happy to get back to you within 5 working days.

Age UK National Silverline is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year for anybody wanting to "just" talk to someone over Christmas: 0800 470 8090.

We are also contininuing to offer our Care at Home service providing personal care to local people each day as well as our Feather Duster Home Help Service.

Age UK York Charity Shops

Our four Charity shops across York raise vital funds to support our work. Every penny spent and every donation kindly given directly funds our local work right here across York.

Over the festive period our team are continuing to open our shops. A chance to enjoy finding a surprise or a bargain as well as to donate any items to support our local charity. We hope to see you there and opening times are below.
