Day Clubs Supports Veterans

Jane Morris, our Day Clubs manager accompanied seven veterans and their family members to the Veteran’s Day at the Yorkshire Air Museum in Elvington on 26th June. The event was attended by 80 Veterans who had served in World War II. They were brought together by Age UK (Yorkshire and Humber) and Ex-Forces Support to share stories with each other about their military service.  The event was part of the Yorkshire Veterans’ Project, which Age UK helps administer, and is funded by the Ministry of Defence. The guests were able to walk around the museum, have a buffet lunch and were shown a slideshow created by the Yorkshire Film Archive
