Working to reduce loneliness and isolation, utilising community transport and other assets to target and support individuals and communities most in need.

What is it?

• Community Action Malvern and District (CAMD) and Age UK Wyvern will work in partnership to reduce loneliness and isolation, utilising community transport and other assets to target and support individuals and communities most in need.
• An important aspect of the project is to develop pathways to access more social opportunities and support for those who have been most affected by loneliness and isolation; particularly in the post-pandemic period.

What can you expect?

• Expand the network of accessible community transport.
• Improve the quality of life for older people by providing personal or group support; increasing confidence in travelling or improving digital capability to access online service or information.
• Identify and evaluate digital infrastructure to streamline booking systems and increase access to information.
• Promote the vision of rural hubs through continued work with parishes.
