Supporting older people in the community

With the sad news of the closure of our sister Age UK Herefordshire and Worcestershire, the winter fuel payment announcement and rise in energy price cap following a summer that passed in a flash, it’s been a challenging time for older people across the county.
We at Age UK Worcester, Malvern Hills and Hereford Localities are very much open for business and our priority is to ensure that every older person has access to the support to improve and sustain their quality of life.
As we prepare for the winter months, our team will be working from our offices in Worcester, Malvern, Ledbury, Tenbury, Hereford and Leominster as well as delivering outreach sessions and roadshows to support those who are struggling to make ends meet.
We are so proud to offer this service at no cost but the challenge to us is to raise funds to ensure that we can continue to make such a positive difference to the lives of those in our communities who need it.
Our Walking Back to Happiness fundraiser just launched with the aim of raising money to support the delivery of our much-needed Befriending Project which reaches out to those who are feeling lonely and isolated, providing regular contact and support.
I will be walking with a wonderful group of resilient women who made a difference in my life when I needed it.
Please take this opportunity to support us to support older people in your communities by donating what you can to our band of fundraisers who will be walking, skipping (and sometimes running!) to raise funds for us.
Please help us to make a difference to those people who need it.
