National Feet Week 2022

This National Feet Week, we are highlighting the importance of caring for your feet.

Many people ignore common foot complaints or indeed serious pain, rather than go to see someone about it. Problems with the feet can be an indication of other health issues and so it is so important to take care of our feet, as we would our teeth and eyes. Make National Feet Week a time to have your feet checked or to get that niggling issue sorted and make your feet a priority – after all they take you anywhere you want to go.

Here at Age UK Worcester & Malvern Hills, we can help you get the basic foot care that you need. We offer a basic foot care service, so that older people across Worcester & Malvern Hills can get the care that they need, which they may not be able to do themselves. This basic care includes nail clipping and nail filing. We are also able to advise you with how to help minor skin issues.

Our foot care service operates regularly from 4 clinics across the area. These are located at: our head office at Bank House, WR1 3QQ, our Malvern office at Great Malvern Train Station, WR14 3AU, Alfrick Village Hall, WR6 5HX and Martley Memorial Hall, WR6 6PQ. We also offer in-home appointments, for those who are unable to attend one of our clinics. Whether that is due to their health or just getting to a clinic.

If you are over the age of 50 and live in the Worcester or Malvern Hills areas, you are eligible for our foot care service. There is a charge of £15 per person per clinic visit and the charge is £25 for an in-home appointment. In addition, you are required to make a one-off purchase of your own personal nail care kit from us at £15, which you will use for future appointments.
