Walking Back to Happiness
A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who either took part in, or donated to, our Walking Back to Happiness fundraiser.
People walked and donated in Ross-on-Wye, Hereford, Malvern and Worcester.
We rasied just over £2100 which funds 600 weekly befriending sessions across the two counties helping to combat loneliness. Participants walked an incredible 7,379,100 steps which is just about 3000 miles.
Thank you to Dunelm in Worcester and Hereford, Neoperl in Malvern, Worcester County Council and of course our Age UK Wyvern colleagues who took part.
Your efforts will help people like Diane. Diane moved to a small village in Herefordshire and life was good up until 3 years ago when her husband sadly passed away. With family too far away, Diane found herself lonely and isolated, so she called us for help. We put her in touch with Irene, one of our befrienders, and they hit it off straight away. Now they regularly visit coffee mornings, dance classes and other events.

Mayor's Charity Fashion Show & Auction
Thank you to the students of Heart of Worcestershire College, Christopher Whitehead Language College and Nunnery Wood High School, who not only produced a sustainable fashion show using up-cycled cothing but also modelled their creations. Without you, this would not have been possible and you should be more than proud of your creations.
Special thanks to the donors of prizes for our charity auction: Lord Faulkner of Worcester, Anja Potze, Tia Lambert, Worcester Bosch, Hansett Farm and Sara Edwards.
Thank you also to The Mayor of Worcester, Cllr Louis Stephen and The Mayoress, Katey Stephen for their hosting this event at the Guildhall Worcester and for their continued support across their tenure - selecting us as their charity of the year.
Lastly, a huge thank you to all of the attendees of the fashion show and auction. We could not have hoped for a better turnout and result!

Lower Hope Open Gardens
A huge thank you to Mrs Sylvia Richards for once again opening her gardens up for us and to the Bargoed Choir for performing throughout the day. Thank you to Radway Bridge Garden Centre, Live for Tweed, Malvern Autumn Show and Leominster Rotary Club for supporting us and for their generous donations to our charity.
Over the course of the day, hundreds of people visited to explore the beautiful traditional garden areas and themed gardens, as well as taking longer walks by the lakes.
Thank you to each and every attendee and to our team of volunteers who baked, served teas and sold raffle tickets.
We hope to see you again.
