Lights, Camera... Paint!

Fabulous news! Artwork created by our Dementia Meeting Centre attendees is to be included in the Lights, Camera... Paint! Art Trail, as part of The Worcester Film Festival.

The artwork has been inspired by the film Mary Poppins. Our Dementia Meeting Centre members created this artwork by colouring pictures which have been amalgamated into one piece of art. This activity started conversations between the members and staff/volunteers and enabled the members to reminisce about the film and what the first thing they thought of when they heard the words ‘Mary Poppins’.

You will find our Mary Poppins inspired artwork at Globe Modern Bistro, 41 Friar Street, Worcester, WR1 2NA, number 12 on the map below.

What is it?

The 2023 Lights, Camera...Paint! art trail is now live across Worcester featuring 20 different posters in 17 different locations created by local artists and organisations as part of this years Worcester Film Festival which launches on 4th October.

This is the second year of this project, creating a free art walk, bringing residents and visitors a different way of seeing the city. The trail goes around the city of Worcester and up along the Tything to Barbourne with some fabulous local venues hosting each poster. Designed to capture the viewers imagination and start conversations around art, creativity and film.
