Welcome our new CEO

Published on 01 December 2018 12:37 PM

Join us in welcoming our new CEO.

We would like to welcome Clare Thomas to the organisation, who will be taking over as our new CEO, after Patricia Blacknell retired earlier this month.

Clare has worked in the voluntary sector for 25 years, both in the UK and in Brussels.  Her last position was as CEO of Hope Support Services, based in Herefordshire. She is really looking forward to getting to know WorcesClare Thomaster and working with staff and volunteers to build on the excellent work already being done by Age UK Worcester and District.

She says,

“We already run a range of excellent services for people across the City and raise income to fund these services from our 5 busy charity shops. One of my tasks over the next few months will be to work with clients, staff, volunteers and partners to see if there is anymore that we might be doing to serve the Over 50s. Please do come and chat to me if you have any comments about what we already provide or suggestions about what we might do in the future".

We would like to wish Clare all the best with her new role and hope that the organisation can continue to thrive under her leadership.

It also goes without saying that we wish Patricia Blacknell all the best with her retirement and would like to thank her for all of the hard work she has put into this organisation over her years of service.
