The Big Knit

Raise money for Age UK Wolverhampton by getting involved with Age UK and Innocent’s Big Knit campaign.

What's the Big Knit all about?

The Big Knit is a joint campaign between Age UK and Innocent drinks to help vulnerable older people. It started in 2003 and we are again asking knitters if they will help us with the mini bobble hat production.  Knitting patterns can be downloaded below.

Knitters of all ages and abilities can get involved in this exciting campaign to make lots of tiny hats for the top of innocent smoothie bottles. For every be-hatted bottle sold, 25p will go straight to Age UK Wolverhampton. This will allow us to provide help and support for local older people.

We would also welcome any donations of wool to keep our knitters busy, so please contact us and let us know that you have wool to donate by calling us on 01902 572060.

Get involved

We know there are a lot of talented and creative knitters out there plus many knitting and craft groups in Wolverhampton who could get involved in this very worthwhile campaign. Not only will you be using your creative talents; you will be helping a local charity to help older people.

You can get as creative as you like to knit your woolly hats; as long as it will fit on the top of an innocent bottle, anything goes! We suggest between 5-7cms in circumference and at least 3cms tall.

Post your hats and the amount you have knitted, along with your name and address to:  Age UK Wolverhampton, The Workspace, All Saints Road, Wolverhampton.  WV2 1EL
