Make sure you claim the Council Tax Energy Grant

All households in England in Council Tax bands A-D will be eligible for a £150 rebate in April 2022, as long as this is your first home and is not empty.

For people who pay Council Tax by direct debit, this money will be paid automatically to you and you do not need to do anything else.

If you do not pay Council Tax by direct debit, you have two options:

- You can sign up to pay by direct debit before 1st April and receive your rebate automatically.

- You can claim the money using a form after 1st April.  You are not able to claim before this date.
