Denise Welch enjoyed a kick about at our Women's Walking Football

Actress and Age UK supporter Denise Welch enjoyed a kick about at our Women's Walking Football session on Friday 12th August just two weeks after the England' Women's Football Victory! 

Denise said "I loved visting Age UK's Walking Football Programme and getting stuck in with the ladies at their session! It's been such an inspiring time for women and their football, especially since the Lionesses' win! It was fantastic meeting some of the ladies who are proving that we can play football whatever our age - and have a laugh at the same time!"

We work in partnership with Be Well to provide sports groups that are inclusive and have physical and mental benifits. Be Well activities are a great way to make friends across the Wigan Borough.
