From 1-7 June 2020 it is Volunteers' Week and we would like to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt THANK YOU to all our amazing volunteers!
Our volunteers who give up so much time to help us on a regular basis so that we are able to continue supporting so many older people in Horsham District. From those of you who come into the office to help us with tasks such as admin, counting collecting tin money and updating our database, to the volunteers who give up time on a weekend to help with a fundraising collection or dedicate hours every week to visiting an older person at home who is lonely and needs support, or who continue to make our garden look so lovely for our members to enjoy.
And now, during these strange and sometimes worrying times of Covid-19, to everyone who has helped us to deliver shopping and medication to those who are vulnerable or shielding, checked in on an older person or made a phone call to support someone who is isolating at home.
All of this is just a small selection of how our volunteers give up their time to help others – there is so, so much more!
To all our incredible volunteers, each and every one of you, however you help us, we say a huge thank you – we simply couldn’t do it without you.
