Age UK South Lakeland is an independent charity which has been operating locally in the South Lakes area since 1978 and a brand partner of the national charity Age UK. Our services cover the whole of South Lakeland, and our impact locally is driven by the passion and dedication of our team of over 50 staff and over 200 volunteers, as well as our ability to raise much needed funds to sustain our work now and into the future.
We understand that there are some concerns following the recent news that Age UK West Cumbria is closing. While we know that, unfortunately, this will impact people in the West Cumbria area, we would like to reassure our stakeholders and older people in our local area that Age UK South Lakeland continues to operate as normal, as an independent local Charity.
