Celebrating Tea and Foods from around the world
Tea is a a staple refreshment not only in the UK but right across the world. Last week we invited people from different cultures to join us in The Ridings Shopping Centre to share tea, food and stories from their home countries.
As the room filled, we saw people coming together to talk and sample foods from around the world, we enjoyed samosas, baklava, rice dishes, sweet treats and drinks.
Our partner organisations came along with information stalls to explain what support is available in the district.
As with all our Time for Tea events, our International celebration was free to attend with no need to book.
We look forward to welcoming some of our new friends to our regular Time for Tea events and our Silver Sunday Celebration on 6th October
