Wraparound Service of the month

What help is there for people struggling with their wellbeing and mental health?

At the Wraparound Team here at Age UK Wakefield District we provide wellbeing and emotional support for the over 50s across the region.  Most often we offer support to those affected by loss and bereavement, the impact of challenging health conditions, depression, low mood and anxiety.   We help people struggling with relationship breakdown, lost self-confidence or the personal challenges faced by those caring for an increasingly vulnerable loved one.  Whatever your reason for seeking help, we are here for you. 

Who would the support come from?

We have two wonderful wellbeing workers on the Wraparound team, both have extensive experience in supporting people with a variety of difficulties. You can state a preference for a male or a female worker if that would help you to feel more comfortable when accessing our service.

Where would I meet the worker?

We provide face to face support through home visits and in community settings (such as your local café), and we also offer supportive telephone appointments.  Whatever suits you best.
