Position WorkWell Key Worker               Salary - £17,456 per annum (£29,093 per annum pro-rata)

Hours – 21 hours p/wk,                            Status – Contract up to March 2026

Work Pattern – 3 days TBC                      Location - Urmston, Trafford, Greater Manchester

About The Role

We are offering a great opportunity to join our professional, creative and dedicated team as a WorkWell Key Worker, providing personalised support to people at risk of unemployment due to health-related issues.

As a WorkWell key worker, you will have the rewarding opportunity to provide person centred support to address any barriers to employment and work with the individual to produce a “back to work” plan.

You will provide low intensity support to individuals to enable them to stay in or re-enter employment from the following cohorts:

  • People at risk of leaving employment due to mental health or Musculoskeletal condition.
  • People at risk of leaving employment and awaiting community/elective care NHS services.
  • People recently unemployed with a health condition.

Your focus will be to:

  • Build trusting relationships with participants to develop personalised support and help identify barriers to employment and any potential solutions
  • Deliver one-to-one support tailored to the needs of the individual.
  • Make appropriate referrals, advocate where needed and support with any form filling or meetings if required

The service is unique to each service user as it is based upon their personal circumstances and support needs. You will offer support in a variety of ways - by phone, letter, email, face-to-face, or at other locations in the community. You will also assist service users to access other services, providing signposting and referrals.

About you

  • Understanding of the needs of people experiencing health related barriers to employment would be an advantage, but if you have had experience supporting with other diagnosis or support requirements this would be taken into consideration.
  • Ability and interest in supporting people to overcome any work-related barriers and help them take more control of their lives.
  • Able to research, network effectively and collaborate with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
  • Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure connection and understanding at all levels.
  • Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software (Microsoft Teams / Zoom).
