Elf in the Window Winners

Age UK Torbay are delighted to announce the winners of their Christmas competition, Elf in the Window. In first place was Finley Cleevely, second place went to Oscar West and in third place was Hayden Phipps.

The winners successfully spotted the 20 elves, which were hidden in shop windows on a trail around Preston, Paignton. Finley receives the 1st prize of two tickets to Woodlands Leisure Park, a Bernard Elf and a selection box. Oscar and Hayden each receive prizes of a Bernard Elf and a selection box.

Helen Harman, the Age UK Torbay CO said: "This was a fun competition for ‘children of all ages!’ For just £2 per entry, families went Elf spotting around Preston and the competitors all really enjoyed taking part. Many congratulations to our 3 winners and thank you to everyone who entered.”

Helen continued: “Thank you also to all the shops that took part. We were delighted that so many got involved and thank all of them for supporting our competition.

“All the funds raised from the competition will go towards our vital work in helping to tackle loneliness and isolation amongst older people in our community, via our befriending and careline services. We believe that no one should have no one for Christmas in Torbay.”

Following the success of the event, Age UK Torbay are planning to let the elves loose again next year, watch this space!
