Christmas Fair 2016

Published on 13 December 2016 07:46 PM

Once again everyone had a fantastic time at our Christmas Fair on Saturday 10th December, and a grand total of £1051.70 was raised in funding. The day centre was packed out with visitors browsing the many stalls at the event and trying their hand at the tombola and other fun prizewinning games. There was something for everyone this year, and the kids were kept amused as well as the adults. The childrens tombola was sold out in just 6 minutes! To make the day extra festive, we were treated to not one but 2 choirs this year singing all of our festive favourites. To bring the day to a spectacular close, we had our grand prize raffle, and many visitors won fantastic prizes.

Age UK Thanet would like to thank everyone who helped make this incredible day possible, including staff, volunteers, people who donated and our fantastic kitchen staff for cooking up some wonderful food. We would also like to thank the two very talented choirs for their wonderful singing - The Glee Club and the Cliftonville Singers. We also received donations of prizes from many local companies, including Tescos, Nandos, The Captain Digby and Mecca Bingo amongst others. Not forgetting Brills of Birchington who kindly donated our wonderful Christmas tree this year!

A massive thank you goes to everyone for making the day so special. Age UK Thanet would like to wish all of our supporters a very Merry Christmas!
