Royal Surrey Choir is a non-profit organisation dedicated to raising awareness and funding to support local charitable causes in and around Surrey.
Considering the recent pandemic, and many of the choir member's own experiences with caring for their elderly at-risk family and friends during this time, they have kindly decided to offer Age UK Surrey their services in raising funds for our important cause.
We are grateful and so pleased to be chosen by Royal Surrey Choir. Their upcoming Summer performance will be on Saturday 16th July at 7pm at the Holy Trinity Church in Guildford. This concert will be their first since the Covid restrictions were completely lifted, and they are planning for it to be a rather spectacular comeback event. All funds raised (minus expenses) by the concert will be donated to Age UK Surrey.
Originally conceived 7 years ago by the Choir Director Jake Hellier, the RSChoir now consists of 40 dedicated singers who are employed primarily in and around the Royal Surrey Hospital community, as nurses, doctors, carers and counsellors. Each year the choir performs two special-event charity concerts at The Holy Trinity Church on Guildford’s High St. The concerts are attended by 300 audience members, feature a selection of special guest performers, live orchestra, with both bar/refreshments and exclusive raffle prizes donated by local businesses.
