Shopmobility Awareness Day

Shopmobility National Awareness Day is taking place on Friday 7th June. Age UK Surrey’s Shopmobility service, supported by Guildford Borough Council will be located inside The Friary Centre (10:30am – 4pm) to raise awareness of this amazing Guildford Town Centre service.
We hope to encourage those with mobility challenges to come along, gather more information and take advantage of the service. The Mayor of Guildford will be visiting at 12pm and it would be lovely for our Shopmobility team to meet everyone.
Anyone of any age can use our Shopmobility services. Shopmobility Guildford is not only for elderly individuals or people with chronic disabilities, but it also provides support for those restricted by temporary illness or injury. Maybe you have broken your leg or have strength problems after an operation? Do you have a child with disabilities who needs pushing in a wheelchair? Or simply do you find walking longer distances difficult? Whatever your need, Shopmobility Guildford is ready to help you access your local shops and facilities with appropriate mobility equipment.
Please drop in on June 7th at The Friary in Guildford and find out more about what we do. We look forward to seeing you there.
