The Great Get Together

The Great Get Together is a National celebration aimed at bringing communities together. The weekend marks the anniversary of the murder of Jo Cox who inspired us when she said "we are far more united and have far more in common with each other than things that divide us".
Celebrating the Jo Cox Loneliness Campaign, charities and businesses are organising a fun street party on Saturday 17th June, 10am - 4pm on Chapel Street, Guildford.
There will be activities for all ages such as; scavenger hunt, fete games, face paint, bake off cake contest, food and drink tasting, bbq, arts and craft activities and much more.
We will be there with a cosy sofa to ask people about their views on loneliness and bring people together by starting a conversation.
Do come and say hello and if you are free to volunteer we would love to hear from you.
Please email Mel Sneller melanie.sneller@ageuksurrey.org.uk to volunteer or for more information
