🌿✨ Our Sensory Garden is Open! ✨🌿
We’re absolutely delighted to share that our brand-new sensory garden at the Metcalfe Dementia Centre is now officially open! 💚
This beautiful, calming space was opened earlier today by CEO Tracy Collins, Trustee Anthony McDermott, and Day Services Co-ordinator Eva Senior. Designed to stimulate the senses and promote wellbeing, this garden will provide our clients living with dementia a tranquil outdoor area to enjoy nature, play games, or simply relax.
Funded by the National Lottery’s Awards for All programme, the garden was developed in collaboration with the brilliant teams at LG Designer Maker CIC and Bishopwearmouth CIC. Together, we’ve created a vibrant space that enhances the therapeutic environment at the Metcalfe Centre, and we couldn’t be more proud. 🌸
Thank you to everyone who made this vision a reality, especially the National Lottery Community Fund and our dedicated staff and partners. This garden will make a real difference to the lives of so many people in our community.🌼
