Resolve Poverty Award

Stockport Council and partners have won the Resolve Poverty award for 'maximising financial resources available to households'.

The  award recognises the:

• Resident Advice and Support Alliance (which includes the council’s Welfare Rights & Debt Advice and Cost of Living Adviceline plus Stockport Homes’ Money Advice and Energy Advice Teams, Citizens Advice and Stockport Support Hub);
• Trusted Partner Model to distributing the Household Support Fund (Age UK Stockport, Disability Stockport, Signpost for Carers, Stockport Support Hub, OWLS, Autisk, Stockport Homes, Job Centre Plus)
• The Spend Well Live Well calendar of events delivering financial information, advice and guidance (delivered in partnership with libraries, DWP, Groundwork, Starting Point amongst many others);
• Inclusive Jobs Fairs.
