Age UK Staffordshire have launched new half-day sessions as part of their Day Opportunities service at The Roller Mill, Penkridge.
The half-day sessions will provide a great opportunity for people with dementia or other long term health conditions to enjoy the company of local people with similar interests in a friendly and caring environment.
It is also an opportunity for carers to take a much needed short break from their care giving role.
In the half-day sessions, service users will be supported to participate in fun, engaging activities - these are provided and tailored to each individual person, with their health needs and mobility taken into consideration. This will be undertaken by Age UK Staffordshire's friendly and dedicated team of experienced professional staff who are trained to provide high quality care and support.
Half-day sessions at The Roller Mill are for three hours, costing £30 per session.
- Session 1: 9.00am – 12.00pm with optional cold packed lunch for £4.75
- Session 2: 12.00pm – 3.00pm with optional hot two course meal for £6.25
Service users will be provided with hot or cold drinks and a snack will during the morning or afternoon.
Please note that transport cannot be provided for half day sessions.
