BuyCharity Launches Item Hunter

BuyCharity is the leading charity shopping online platform in the UK. Plus, you can rest assured that you’re only ever buying items from us, or from other reputable, registered charities & CICs.

Next week, BuyCharity will be rolling out ‘Item Hunter’; a major new feature which is unique to BuyCharity! Whether you’re looking for something special as a gift, an unusual collector’s piece, or just something a little bit specific, Item Hunter is perfect for you. This feature will allow registered users to submit requests for whatever they’re looking for directly to all charities selling on BuyCharity.

Many charities only post a portion of their current stock on BuyCharity, and Item Hunter is designed to give you the opportunity to search all the stock of our participating charities. You don’t need to commit to buying, and submitting a request is completely free! You just need to register for a free account on BuyCharity to use the service.

With Item Hunter, there’s no need to bid against other customers, and no pressure to buy if it isn’t quite right. If we or another charity find what you’re looking for, we’ll let you know, and you’ll have three days to buy or not. After three days, the listing will be made available to the public.

Item Hunter is designed to save you the time and legwork of trawling around multiple charity shops looking for that one specific item. Just let us know and we’ll do our best to find what you’re looking for in one of our seven charity shops or warehouses!

Launching alongside Item Hunter is another feature for BuyCharity users called My Interests. This will allow registered users to save certain keywords and product types as their ‘Interests’. Then, whenever we or another charity posts an item that matches one of those keywords, we’ll send you an email to let you know straight away. With these two new features, BuyCharity should make the process of buying from Age UK South Lakeland online even easier than it already did.
