Supermarket shopping
A number of supermarkets have designated times for older and vulnerable people. We have attached a list of the most popular shops in Southampton, along with the designated times where we could obtain them; however, we recommend using the contact information to check before you set out. Click here for the list.
The virus has not gone away. It is still really important that we continue to follow guidance and take precautions to protect ourselves, our families and others and help prevent a local outbreak:
- Wash hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, or use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser that contains at least 60% alcohol.
- Wear face coverings in shops, on public transport and other enclosed spaces where a face covering is required.
- Follow social distancing guidance (2 metres distance from anyone outside of your household, and where this is not possible at least 1 metre).
- If you have symptoms or a positive test result for coronavirus (COVID-19), it is very important that you self-isolate immediately for 10 days (14 days for those you live with). Visit the NHS website to book a free test, or alternatively call NHS 111 for advice. You can choose to receive a home testing kit or attend a drive-through site to be tested
You can read about all the latest changes to guidance that have taken place this week on the UK Government coronavirus web pages
