Assisted Bathing

As we get older, what were simple daily activities can become vastly more challenging. Bathing is one of these. For many, a long soak in the bath to relax tired muscles is just what we need, but as we get older the risk of slipping and falling increases and the ‘I can get in the bath, but not sure I can get out!’ often prevents us taking the risk.

Age UK Southampton has a purpose build hub that provides daily support and activities to clients and within these premises at Padwell Road (just off the Avenue) we have a large, fully equipped bathroom. The Arjo riser bath with lift makes bathing so much easier. Our supported bathing service will enable you to enjoy a bubbly, soak in the bath, fully supported by our caring staff who will assist you to safely get in and out. It even comes with complementary toiletries, or you can bring your own if you prefer.”
