National Trading Standards offer free call blockers

National Trading Standards have teamed up with Trucall to offer free call blockers to consumers to help combat the rise of scam calls during the pandemic.
They previously paused their call blocker project due to Covid-19 but will now re-open applications from 8th July for self-installers only.
Due to Covid-19 they are only able to send units directly to the consumers and people won’t be able to apply on behalf of others. Units will also be supplied on a first come first served basis.
Direct applicants will be able to apply online on the Friends Against Scams website from the 8th July, via: www.FriendsAgainstScams.org.uk/callblocker. You may wish to share this link with those who would be interested in accepting a free call blocker.
