Contract:   Permanent      

Salary:        £22,557.40 p.a. FTE (£13,534.44 actual)    

Hours:        3 days / 21 hours per week, Mon–Weds (but there may be some flexibility on days worked)

Location:   Taunton


As an independent local charity working in Somerset and North Somerset, our ‘Ageing Well and Falls Prevention service is dedicated to promoting the health and wellbeing of older people in our area.

Exercise and activity are vital for older people, not only to improve or maintain all components of fitness but also to reduce the effect of age-related decline, help maintain independent living and reduce isolation. Group sessions offer a valuable social aspect and we are proud to deliver classes in a wide range of activities.

We are delighted to be offering this exciting and rewarding opportunity to support our Ageing Well & Falls Prevention team.

With a solid background in providing administrative support within a customer-facing environment, you will already possess a desire to help people and be able to handle situations using sensitivity and understanding.

You will display an excellent telephone manner and have a sound working knowledge of MS Word, accurate keyboard skills and an eye for detail. The role would suit an individual with experience and competence in using data systems and a keen understanding of managing data.

Your prioritisation skills and organisational ability will be essential in achieving a high standard of administration; handling enquiries, supporting colleagues and clients, maintaining records, scheduling appointments. As someone who enjoys working as part of a team, whilst comfortable with using your initiative and taking ownership, you will thrive in this interesting and varied role.
