Former Volunteer celebrates 100th birthday!

Celebrating a 100 years.

One of our former Volunteers, Mrs Katalin Shirley-Smith, turned 100 today (7th February). 

Members of Age UK Somerset staff and the befriending Volunteer who now visits her, joined her for celebratory cake which was kindly donated by Mademoiselle Desserts of Taunton. 

Mrs Shirley-Smith volunteered with our Information and Advice team for many years (at that time it was called the Advocacy team) and helped over 100 older people with their issues including helping them to claim the benefits that they needed.
