Clubs Volunteer
Help at Club MG!
We are currently looking for a volunteer to help at our weekly lunch club at the Marston Green Tavern every Tuesday. Can you help?
Help at Welcome Wednesdays!
We are also looking for a volunteer to help at our monthly Welcome Wednesdays meetings at Eastcote Park in Barston, Solihull. The group meets on the last Wednesday of every month from 2-3.30pm. You would help with making teas and coffees, taking donations and generally helping the meeting run smoothly.
Our social clubs and activities help alleviate loneliness and isolation in older Solihull residents.
As a Club Volunteer you would help ensure the smooth running of the club. Our friendly team of volunteers welcome visitors, take the entrance money and menu orders, serve teas and coffees and help create the lovely atmosphere. Our members really enjoy the social time, a meal and entertainment.
We have several regular clubs and activities that take place around the Solihull borough. Click here for details.
Some comments from members of our clubs
“The Lunch Club is very important to me as before I was always stuck inside all of the time with no friends to contact and it was a struggle to meet up with them. Now I have met this wonderful group of people who have become my good friends. I look forward to meeting them every Tuesday and I have been given a chance to really enjoy myself every week. Volunteers and organisers here are lovely and the entertainment really is wonderful.”
“Organisations and groups like this are so important to us within the community. Everyone is always welcomed and the people here are great. We get to enjoy the great entertainment and it’s so lovely to meet new faces all of the time.”
