Age UK Solihull is an independent, local charity and a Brand Partner of the national Age UK. We exist to be here for older people when they need our help and support. We are also the lead partner for the Solihull Community Advice Hubs, providing information, advice and support to all adult residents of Solihull.
Over 70 staff and 300 volunteers support our work.

Current Vacancies
Finance Assistant (12 month fixed term position)
We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our team for a period of 12 months.
The position is to assist the Finance Officer and Finance Manager with bookkeeping and administrative duties including input of invoices, receipts, payments, petty cash and journals. Additional duties to include maintaining timesheets, staff sickness and holiday records.
The role would ideally suit an enthusiastic, flexible and organised individual interested in an office administration role and in particular, bookkeeping and financial record keeping.
Hours: 18 hours per week
Salary: £22,477 per annum (£11,559.60 pro rata)

Finance Manager
Hours: 21 - 25 per week
Salary: £40,000 to £42,000 per annum pro rata

We are seeking a proactive, experienced Finance Manager. Working part-time, the Finance Manager will have full responsibility for ensuring finance processes are efficient and appropriate, documented and communicated, and followed; maintaining legally compliant financial records and ensuring all necessary returns are completed on time; and reporting on the financial performance of the Charity’s activities. This is a key role in delivering financial information to the Charity’s senior management team and trustees to support them in their decision-making.
Successful candidates will hold a professional accounting qualification (or be part qualified with relevant experience) and will have financial management experience, preferably within a charity environment. You will be naturally analytical, a confident communicator and want to drive efficiencies and contribute to the Charity’s strategies.
In this rewarding role, you’ll provide essential support and guidance to older people in the Solihull borough. Your empathetic approach and expert knowledge will empower older people to live independently, safely and be active members of their local community.
