Our Partnership with Pop Voices

Age UK Solihull is thrilled to announce a new 12-month partnership with Pop Voices Choir.

Pop Voices brings together singers of all abilities to share their love of music. With around 400 members, the choir sings at various venues in Solihull, Warwickshire and beyond.

The choir has already worked with Age UK Solihull in the past, performing at our Carol Singing days for the past two years, and performing in Touchwood Shopping Centre in June this year to help raise funds and awareness for World Elder Abuse Awareness Day.

The partnership officially kicked off with performances at Dorridge Day earlier this month. Pop Voices sang a range of songs, and audience members generously donated to Age UK Solihull, helping to raise essential funds for our wide range of services for older people.

Age UK Solihull is a local charity and all the funds raised from the partnership will stay in Solihull to help improve life for older residents of the borough. Our services include befriending and social clubs for lonely or isolated older people, gentle exercise classes for those who have had a recent fall, a home support service, and a vital information and advice line.

Pop Voices will be performing carols once again in December this year to help raise funds for Age UK Solihull, and more performances and activities will be organised over the next 12 months.

Age UK Solihull’s Fundraising Manager, Rebecca Jacob, says, “We are incredibly grateful to Pop Voices for all the support they have already shown us in the past, and we are excited to have now kicked off an official partnership with the group. Music has a unique ability to bring people together, and we’re looking forward to seeing how this partnership will continue to help us in our work to support older people in Solihull.”

Anya Small, Leader of Pop Voices Choir, adds, “Pop Voices is proud to be partnering with Age UK Solihull. We believe in the power of music to connect people of all ages, and we’re delighted to be supporting such a vital cause. Our singers are excited to be involved, and we can’t wait to see what we can achieve together.”
