A Solihull care home has raised vital funds for Age UK Solihull during their 2023 partnership with us.
Care UK’s Blossomfield Grange Care Home has raised £3,000 for Age UK Solihull throughout last year.
The funds were raised from a series of engaging events, including quiz nights, themed events, and raffles. These activities, coupled with generous donations from residents and their families, contributed £2,000 to the total amount raised.
In a demonstration of solidarity and shared values, Care UK, the operating company of Blossomfield Grange Care Home, provided £1,000 in match funding, boosting the impact of the fundraising efforts and bringing the total funds raised to an impressive £3,000.
This remarkable achievement underscores the care home's commitment to supporting the local community and enhancing the lives of older adults. The home plans to continue supporting Age UK Solihull in 2024, with over £100 in donations already received this year and a quiz night planned for March.
Cheryl Harbourne, General Manager at Blossomfield Grange, said: “I want to thank everyone who helped with the fundraising efforts, from coordinating special events to those who donated funds. The amount raised surpassed all our expectations and we were so glad to be able to present the cheque to Age UK Solihull.
“Here at Blossomfield Grange, we are always looking to support good local causes especially ones that are so close to the hearts of the team and residents. Residents enjoy supporting local charities, as it gives them a sense of purpose as well as building relationships with members of the local community.
“I’d like to say a huge thank you to Rebecca Jacob and Lorraine Curran from Age UK Solihull for joining us here at Blossomfield Grange, we hope our donation will help you continue your fantastic work.”
Rebecca Jacob, Fundraising Manager at Age UK Solihull, said: “We were thrilled by the amount raised. This donation is very much appreciated and will go towards ensuring our services continue to support older people in the local community. On behalf of everyone at Age UK Solihull, thank you, Blossomfield Grange!”
