Virtual Exercise Classes
While our face-to-face classes are suspended, we are delivering our Postural Stability Instruction service via telephone and video link, as it is important for you to keep exercising at home, to reduce the risk of falls.
Each week, a new video class will be available below.
As with all exercise programs, when using this exercise video, you need to use common sense and exercise caution to reduce and avoid injury.
You will want to check with your doctor before beginning any exercise or fitness program.
By performing any of the exercises in this video you are performing them at your own risk.

Week 39
Welcome back to our virtual PSI classes. Hopefully it won't be long before we can start meeting in person again!
Week 38
This week's class focusses on working the heart.
The class is around 38 minutes long and you'll need a chair for balance.

This week, Sharon will take you through some exercises to strengthen the upper body and legs.
This class will take around 37 minutes, and you'll need your chair and two hand held weights, bottles of water or tins of food.

This week, we will be practising our sit-to-stand skills.
This class will take around 47 minutes, and you'll need a high-backed chair with a high back and some space around it.

This week, we will be doing some Tai Chi style exercises.

This week's class focusses on improving balance.
The class is around 38 minutes long and you'll need a few chairs with high backs or a table with some space around them.

This class will take around 45 minutes, and you'll need two high-backed chairs some space to walk around.

The class lasts for around 40 minutes, and you'll need your chair and also a small object to pick up off the floor.

The class will take around 39 minutes, and you'll need a chair and two handheld weights (or bottles of water or tins of food).

The class will take around 44 minutes, and you'll need a chair and also two handheld weights, or two bottles of water or tins of food if you don't have any weights.

This class will take around 38 minutes, and you'll need a chair with a high back to sit on and use for balance.
Week 22
This week, you will do a range of exercises including some designed to help you to get from a sitting position to a standing position.
The class will take around 43 minutes, and you'll need a chair to sit on and to lean on for balance.
Week 21
This week, Sharon will take you through slower exercises to ease the new newer people in. You will be doing sit to stands, and exercises to strengthen the legs, hips and bottom.
This class will take around 45 minutes, and you'll need a chair with a high back and some space around it.
