Walking tennis
Keep body and mind active at a walking tennis club, playing a gentler paced version of the traditional game.
Whether you’ve played tennis before or you’re a complete beginner, walking tennis is a great way to stay active. Our walking tennis group is especially for older people and it’s a great opportunity to make new friends and enjoy being part of a team.
What makes walking tennis different to the traditional version?
- players can’t run or jump
- players are allowed to let the ball bounce twice
- it can be played on a smaller court with modified equipment, such as softer balls and lighter rackets.
