Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin's lunch clubs are a great place to meet new people and have a delicious hot meal.

A group of people socialising at a lunch club

Throughout Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin, people who are over 50 are meeting together in their communities to enjoy each other's company and good food. Each lunch club meets at least once a month, usually at the same local venue to enjoy a two course lunch with tea or coffee for a reduced price. No membership is required but all lunches must be pre-booked, and cancelled if you are unable to attend.

No lunch club near you?

We are always keen to work with a community to help set up a new lunch club where a suitable local or nearby venue exists.

If you think this is a good idea and would like to help us to set one up in your community, please call us on 01743 233 123.

How to join

If you'd like more information about our lunch clubs, call us on 01743 233 123. Then, to pre-book a lunch, contact the club's co-ordinator one week in advance of the next lunch.

If you are going along on your own it is a good idea to let the co-ordinator know so that they can welcome you when you arrive and help you to settle in and introduce you to some people during the first lunch if you would like them to.
