Free digital training for older people

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin are launching Get connected, a digital skills programme, in partnership with Telford & Wrekin Council to help older people navigate the online world.
The free six-session programme is available to any Telford & Wrekin resident aged 50+ and is perfect for older people looking for some extra support with technology. Each session is 90 minutes long and the course will cover a range of digital skills, from getting to know your device to learning how to access your health records.
Our friendly volunteers will also be happy to assist with any specific queries you may have and will help you to build your confidence.
The course will be run at the following locations:
- Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre, Tan Bank, Wellington, TF1 1LX
Mondays (excluding bank holidays) 1.30 – 3.00pm,
24 March until 12 May 2025. - Jubilee House, High Street, Madeley, TF7 5AH
Wednesdays 1.30 – 3.00pm,
26 March until 30 April 2025. - Wellington Civic and Leisure Centre, Tan Bank, Wellington, TF1 1LX
Wednesdays 1.30 – 3.00pm,
7 May until 18 June 2025 (excluding 21 May). - Newport Library, 53-55 High Street, Newport, TF10 7AT
Mondays (excluding bank holidays) 10.00 - 11.30am,
12 May until 23 June 2025.
