Shropshire solicitors Wace Morgan are raising funds and awareness for Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin in this year’s Shrewsbury 10k.

As well as continuing their sponsorship of the Shrewsbury 10k Town Race, they’re running in it too and raising money to help support vulnerable local older people.

‘We’re absolutely thrilled that local solicitors Wace Morgan are supporting us this year by raising awareness and funds for the invaluable services provided by Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin,’ said Chief Executive, Heather Osborne.

Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin runs a wide range of services for older people including help at home, dementia support respite sessions, wellbeing and activity groups, befriending, digital inclusion, and information and advice on benefits, power of attorney, and advocacy.

Heather added: ‘Since 2017, Shrewsbury has been home to one of the most scenic town races in the country. The Wace Morgan Shrewsbury 10k takes participants on a picturesque route through the heart of Shrewsbury, along the banks of the beautiful River Severn, and embracing the historic town centre. We’re sure everyone involved will have a marvellous time.’

The race, described as one of the most scenic town races in the country, takes place on Sunday 7 July, setting off from the Quarry Park at 9.00am.
