New line dancing class for beginners

Older people dancing

If you’ve ever considered having a go at line dancing, a new Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin group especially for absolute beginners might be the perfect place to start.

Although eye-catching Western attire is the traditional choice for some more experienced line dancers, newcomers might be relieved to know that cowboy hats and rhinestone boots are definitely not required for the new 12 week course in Telford.

Designed especially for older people and launching on 16 July, the course is all about fun, keeping yourself active, healthy, and feeling good.

Wellbeing Services Manager Emma Wilde said: ‘You’ll be taught the basics of line dancing in our friendly beginners’ group, and you will learn the skills to join one of Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin’s regular line dancing groups, if you want to continue with this great activity. It really is so much fun.’

The group will meet every Tuesday afternoon at Hadley Community Centre, and each session costs £3.50. Advance booking is essential as places are limited, so call us on the number below to make sure you don’t miss out.
